But soon enough, we landed upon some houses for sale that we had been scoping out online.
And then we found the condo on the golf course, lake, and country club.
The rent on this place is a little insane for a place literally in the middle of nowhere, but we managed to make a connection with the owner's son that we met at the country club bar. Let's keep our fingers crossed that he talks his dad into lowering the price!
Since it was getting late, we decided to head back home by going through Pekin.
That's when we discovered that Pekin has its perks; not only a Hobby Lobby (!) but a Starbucks too (!!).
Chloe apparently thought she would get some treats by hanging halfway out the car window, but all she got was laughs.
And yes, this is our second trip to Starbucks today. Road tripping is tiring work.
